What about the belief that you're not born into sin? That you shouldn't have to spend your whole life asking for forgiveness and acceptance, but rather live the life you want? These are my beliefs as an atheist. I? don't find them condescending. As long as you live under God's thumb, you're never truly free - and being truly free is something everyone should experience. There's only shame in living for God. You only live once. Make it count.

you may have the most cynical view of life I've ever witnessed. Not to say there aren't people like that, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. In the end, you're the only person that knows how you genuinely feel - and that goes for? everybody. I think it's unfair to assume everyone is that self absorbed. And beyond that, you have to look at intent. Even if the opinion differs from your own, is the intent for the betterment of mankind? Right for different reasons?
