I't be great if those running Landmark Edu. actually kept their word concerning their "promises" inside their business model. More concern is focused on squeezing money out of each center and this concern super cedes taking care of the customers (people) to whom they claim? to care about.

I did the Direct Access Course and left with an unfulfilled expectation - yes an upset! I thought i would leave with a new 'reality'. I do see that you have to mull this stuff over. Werner cleared some points up. I thought the only aspect I have control over is what comes out of my mouth was valuable. The challenging? of what the 'I' is heady stuff. What I took from this is the 'I' is a dance with the space in which life turns up. I

evidence of millions of people who have taken the course. Thousands of national and international projects as a result of the work. The Hunger Project, Highland Park project and on and on. The Question is, what evidence do you? want that will validate your definition of it "working"?

Unfortunately his comments come off as those of a lazy thinker, with nothing to say that's? "cutting edge". There's no hunger in his discussion that would come from one who is passionately consumed by his quest for noteworthy commentary.

Just to finish....a smart guy. Do not judge it unless you experienced it. If u did not then its your loss.?

MediaWatchDawg Werner Erhard is not and has never been a "guru". He is no more nor less a "guru" than? any other "modern day" thinker, teacher, professor, instructor or consultant. Because an individual's activities and ideas associated with them become well known to many people does not make them a spiritual leader. Some people called Steve Jobs a "guru" as well. It is a casual flashy misuse of the word, in my opinion

This video goes along really well with the book The Three? Laws of Performance which is a further discussion of this new model of performance AND Landmark Education's Direct Access course.

As long as vulnerable people? from dysfunctional backgrounds exist, so will the likes of Werner, (a.k.a. Jack Rosenberg), L. Ron Hubbard, and other modern-day gurus.

from my experience, I would say that people have a tendency to accept, validate and cheer "anecdotal" evidence when it agrees with their point of view and confirms something they are for, and less so when it does not. If you loved something, "anecdotal" would be all you would need. Pretty? much the same way people advocate for democracy or a democratic process as long as it steers things in their favour, and much less so when it does not promote their personal needs or survival

often, life does not provide a person with a shred of evidence nor any empirical research to explain or validate the value of something in our lives but it is still a welcomed and? appreciated, and for that person, quiet valid. Who are the people who sit around pining for and demanding evidence or scientific research demonstrating anything in every day life? Ok so now you have a paper that says x. I trust myself and do not require an outside study to tell me what is what.

is there a shred of evidence any empirical research anywhere which demonstrates that est, or Landmark Education in any? way work? Beyond anecdotes?

This is great. It's all made up. The conversations about Government and etc....When we challange our "Belief System." Everyone get's upset. Why? Because we question the "Hidden Agenda." Believer there is one.? Look and Listen. What do you hear? Do you believe it, and why?
By: valderp1. on 30 Nov 11, 01:46:31
@captainbuttsable, one? of the most fundimental things in the Landmark Ed courses is "do NOT believe what we're telling you, we've made it all up". Really. It's not to be taken as "truth" or "right" (or "wrong" for that matter). It is, in general, presented as a way of looking at the world; a point of view for you (for for me) to check out or "try on". Always free to toss it out if it doesn't empower you or give you any access to what you're dealing with or what's really important to you.

And anything using a phenomenological methodology that demands ones own awareness of? life as it is actually lived is not only not based on trust, it is the antithesis of trust. You have it backwards my good captain. Go read what is being presented at SSRN, or spend the time to actually watch this video.

Anything that demands unconditional trust based on their own concepts is a? cult, which is a religion.

seems that is the basic idea of New Thought from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Creating r3ealities. I think the ideas in some religous literature.. like the idea of "Faith moves mountains", is similar in notion of what? you think becomes your reality.

I have to say that this was very disappointing, particularly in speaking to a school in management. It seems to me all? he was saying in a round about way was that the exterior world is a projection of our interior world ie: that "there is here" in our perception. Not how to transform perception either in the internal world or external world to enhance our performance, or how to reprogram neurolinguistics to improve our performance or that in others, and overcome obstacles to improve performance

You have to understand context. The world is happening the way its happening and its always happening the way its happening and? in that context is how you hold it happening perfectly, so as to not be at the effect of the way its happening , thus be cause to make a differnce.

I completed the est training in 1982,? almost 30 years ago. It was in San Franciso, with about 260 others, and because Erhard had reached a point where the training was catching on to so many, he was there speaking and monitoring and doing an open assesment, so as to "re-think" it for the future. At that time, he was launching the "hunger project" and addressing world hunger had a priority for him. I remember what a great experience this whole thing was, and amazed at the complete transparency.
