Dirt Topsoil Compost Screener Sifter
Posted by: PicMartSkunkWerX
Video duration: 40 seconds
Global video hits: 62262
This is a homemade soil screener for sifting dirt, topsoil, compost, rocks etc. A 5HP Honda motor drives a belt to a pulley with an off-balance weighted flywheel causing the vibration. The sticks, rocks, clumps and larger debris exits at the end of the screen. The finer sifted material drops through the screen and falls underneath due to the vibrating/sifting action.

No plans for it,? sorry. Hopefully you can see from the pictures in the video how to make it. There isn't a lot to it. Treated wood, hardware cloth, casters - that is pretty much it.

to get the rocks out, or as the case has been here - to sift sand? to get the tarballs out.
By: dramey03. on 14 Jan 12, 12:17:23
um, this is probably a dumb question, but why are you sifting soil? or? why would one sift soil?
By: TheYAHnitarian. on 06 May 11, 15:18:45
well done. Of course, I know you were angling for the camera, but I hope that when you're really? doing this, you angle that wheelbarrow so that if it were to slip, it would fall toward the porch and not let the handles go through the windows. :oP

By: deasttn. on 07 Apr 11, 18:16:29
