A lot of us Kinks fans are hipsters and so we can't really say something is good without bashing something else. ? Personally, I'm just not a big Beatles fan.

You had me up until the jab at the Beatles. Maybe I'm misreading but why do some Kinks fans go out of their way to bash them? I'd say the best of Lennon and McCartney is on par with the best of the Davies'. Just like I refuse to compare either band with the Stones, the Who, or the Small Faces. They were all geniuses. It just so happens that Days is? a particular masterpiece that came out of the British Invasion.

This reminds me of a girl i knew at school. I sat next to her for 3 years and we got on so well together. I was desperate to ask her out, but i was always too scared she might say no. 2 years after i left school, i? tried to look her up and get in touch again. I found out she died from leukemia. Everytime i hear this, i remember how she helped me get through all those? maths lessons and made me wake up with a smile.
