Mental.
i dont agree , but ... By: jamietherooster. on 10 May 11, 20:51:11 i dont agree , but ur welcome to hate him and the band . im jamiroquai fan through and through and nothing will change that unless it comes out? jay kay is a murderer or a rapist
I'm afraid you are ... By: stretchmorgan. on 10 May 11, 09:25:20 I'm afraid you are mistaken. Its the whole chord progression & mood he's lifted. JK's music is second rate by nature & his band (current horn section excepted) are average journeyman professionals. If you listen to Donald Byrd's "Spaces &? Places" album or Roy Ayer's "He's Coming" you will notice the difference in the finesse with which the musicians execute their parts. Trust me JK is not a nice guy. He shat on his pals & became the arrogant wanker we know today.

By: jamietherooster. on 09 May 11, 19:04:05 as it goes i like the idris muhammed song , however jay has only used the bass line of the song ntohing more , he has used the bass line to go with his own lyrics and song which happens alot in the jazz industry . the band are not fake , not wrong they are the greatest musicians to ever exist , they may use? some other peoples music into thiers but they are what music is all about
JK NEVER name ... By: stretchmorgan. on 09 May 11, 18:38:45 JK NEVER name checks his 'influences'. That is because he only cares about what he can take from their music to further his career. He makes dilute, cynical tunes? that I doubt he even likes much. You would do well to check out Gary Bartz "Music Is My Sanctuary", Idris Muhammad "Could Heaven Ever Be Like This", Norman Connors "Once I've Been There" etc. & you will hear a marked difference in depth & sincerity. You will also begin to identify which tunes he's pilfered.

As you can tell ... By: stretchmorgan. on 09 May 11, 09:29:42 As you can tell from this clip JK is a barely average singer. I grew up on Idris Muhammad, Roy Ayers, Gary Bartz, Donald Byrd, etc. This prat has taken that music changed it round a bit & stuck his boring vocal over it. He is shit. His band? look like TV repair men & sound like test card funk. Its a damn shame that people like you are prepared to spend £30, £50 or whatever on tickets to see this wally. He doesn't like you & is dancing on your pay check.

By: jamietherooster. on 19 Apr 11, 00:10:33 oh yh the lg gave a much better view for people sitting , i dont know why im drawn more towards the 02 though . maybe its because i didnt have to que for 5? hours to get to the front , or maybe its because i just like being in london .but a jamiroquai gig is a jamiroquai gig :) yer matt was so nice aswell

I'm glad I went to the lg though i must say, because if I had gone to the o2, I would have been twice as far from the stage. :) I was impressed at how close I was. I still want to go to the o2 one day but I was very impressed by the lg concert. :) You're ao lucky to have met? matt johnson! I'm so jealous haha. Nice one!
hahahah yer i ... By: jamietherooster. on 18 Apr 11, 20:40:55 hahahah yer i realised earlier wat i said .i dont know why i got steve in my head . i even called him matt when i met him. yer it was super. i agree it was an intimate venue? . probably one of the smalles theyve done this tour .i likedthe lg but mainly because i was in the front row . the sound quality was actually worse being that far at the front .the o2 i think was better because of its location , and the size of it.its also so plush inside. also jay seemed to be alot livlier
I haven't heard of ... By: jamiroquai01fan. on 18 Apr 11, 20:22:05 I haven't heard of Steve, unless you? mean Matt. Haha, the concert was absolutely amazing wasn't it?! It was actually a fairly intimate gig, although I was in the back right corner (block 7), I still had a really good view! I was on my feet the entire concert. They were on top form. Amazing! I was pretty much just to the left and forward abit from the spotlight in the back right corner. How did it compare to the o2? :)
