We swaddled my daughter for bedtime almost everynight until she was 4 months old. We quickly learned, swaddled she would sleep 8-10 hours, unswaddled she would only sleep 4 hours. She is 7 months now and we don't swaddle her anymore. The transition from being swaddled to unswaddled only took her 2 nights to get used to. She sleeps 12 hours a night now!
