Home Made Air Horn

Home made air horn using a conditioner bottle, drinks bottle and balloon skin.
Begins with a full volume demonstration outside, followed by a discussion on how this 'trumpet' is made (1:25 onwards).
A larger, louder and lower toned alternative to the one featured on kipkay, and similar to one from pocodrom. Brilliant for football soccer games as it's more portable than a vuvuzela.

Look down on the rainforest from the highest vantage point in this giant greenhouse. The staircase was a tad wobbly. The entire platform and staircase is supported by cables hanging from the roof. I'd estimate it was at least 150ft above the ground.

yeh that is true. to use aluminium the rest? of the horn needs to be made a bit sturdyer.

possibly though for this design I think it? would just make an unbearable squeak or the aluminium would come unstuck. This design works best off of a large volume of air at ~1psi or so.

true. that will be fine. i found a balloon to work really good and if you have higher pressure from an air? compressor the aluminum from a can is good.

the balloon isn't really tightened that much, and I think? it loses contact with the bottle neck when lots of air is blown through it. When it eventually wears out, I'll just stick a new piece of rubber on there.

good video. i like that design and it seemed to work? real good. the only problem with a balloon is that they wear out eventually.
