Prototyping (it worked first time, yay!) the 'Moses' tool. Push everything right of the cursor down point right, or -if the mouse is moving left- push everything left of the cursor down point further left.

I hate to say it ... By: mpsyp. on 18 Apr 12, 16:32:51 I hate to say it but this is one of those rare cases? where I don't think this is very useful at all. I work in large, complex definitions that aren't necessarily laid out all horizontally or all vertically. Splitting everything from a certain coordinate would wreak havoc on my definitions. If you are good about keeping your code clean in nice blocks and groups, it's really not hard to window-swipe portions of code. I'd rather see a new Remote Control Panel or improved Clusters.

Two Field Display components. One first shows the absolute XYZ direction of the field as it intersect a section plane, the second shows the angle of incidence between the field and the section plane itself.
Hold Shift to start a component aggregate. When done, click on the canvas to instantiate the most recent addition, or Shift+Click to instantiate the entire aggregate.
Testing my newest possession, a GoPro Hero 2 (video) camera. I'm still a bit new at all this, hence the crappy filming. Videos assembled and annotated with After Effects CS 5.5, which I also used for the first time.

Trying the new Font picker in Grasshopper. Early design, probably going to change a lot in the future. The example scrolling text is a collection of pangrams in a few dozen languages.
ZUI (Zoomable User Interface) for the Text Panel fades in and out based on zoom factor. Also note that the buttons disappear when the panel is too small to contain them, despite the high zoom level.

Hi, this is ... By: ameerya. on 08 Apr 12, 15:26:59 Hi, this is awesome? i tried using grasshopper to generate this same voronoi model but i have some trouble making my voronoi cells 'explode'
Will you please give me some more details.
Iteratively slicing a cube with a collection of planes. Testing the new 3D Voronoi cell slicing algorithm. Still needs optimizing though, slicing with 500 planes still takes 3 seconds.
First Grasshopper test with the depth sorted DisplayBitmapDrawLis t class newly added to RhinoCommon by Steve Baer. Some small artefacts remain under certain viewing directions.
An attempt at creating a message-box that people will actually read. When the message box goes away, the zooming is automatic, immediately showing how the ZUI works, so even if people don't read the message, it should still be obvious.
@bibomaram, what ... By: DavidMTRutten. on 01 Oct 11, 20:05:30 @bibomaram, what would you expect to see behind the canvas? It's possible to make the entire Grasshopper window partially transparent, I once posted a VB component on the main forum that allowed you to use a slider to control the opacity setting of the window, but can't seem to? find it now.

Testing the new Simulated Annealing algorithm in Galapagos. This video contains two subsequent runs, the first one colonizes the highest point, the second run homes in on the second highest point. Every point that is sampled by the solver is recorded and displayed as well.
New Data Viewer UI. It now supports both automatic targeting (target parameter is re-evaluated on every mouse click) and persistent targeting. While the viewer is selected, it will draw a pink cone around the current target.
